Dress – Vintage (You can buy in my online vintage shop HERE!)

I’m so excited that Miss Julia let me take over her fabulous blog today.
I’m Ashley, and I run the blog The Shine Project.
I’ve felt this pressure lately. Pressure to rise above myself, do something hard, and make a difference. Have you ever felt like that? I realized that the time is now to take a deep breath, and go after my dreams. I believe we should all be the hero to our own life story. But more importantly, I believe we should also be the hero in someone else’s.Photobucket

Right now I’m in the middle of a huge CHANGE4CHANGE campaign to raise $20,000 for 8 inner city high school students to pay for their first year of college. I know that if we all come together for one great cause, a difference can be made. I’m throwing a big silent auction/fundraiser on October 20th in Arizona (more info on my blog), and also an online raffle! If you have an Etsy shop or business, and would like to contribute, shoot me an email at

To help me in my daily fight to SHINE, I created these necklaces as a reminder of my purpose. Money from each one goes into The Shine Project Scholarship fund. You can see more optionsHERE.

Today, I’m giving away a $25 credit so you can wear a SHINE necklace on your pretty little neck, and give one to someone in your life who needs a reminder themselves.
