I am not a big fan of pastels – they look good on a lot of girls, but not so much on me.
That being said, I do enjoy pastel nail color and I think Essie has great choices – I own “French Affair”, like you've chosen, and I always get compliments when wearing it! I think nail polish is a great way to try out the trend!
