Weekend Stripes

Sweater Michael Stars, Skirt J. Crew, Heels Banana Republic, Sunnies Ray Ban, Bracelets c/o Stella & Dot (here, here and here)

This past weekend I realized that I pretty much wear stripes every weekend. There is just something about a simple striped t shirt that remains chic and casual. Thomas and I just got done planning our honeymoon to Italy and I can’t help but put outfits together in my head of what I’ll be wearing. Lots of stripes included.

P.S.
We will be going to Milan, Florence, Rome and the Amalfi Coast and would greatly appreciate any recommendations!

I love how you paired the two colors together! There's nothing wrong with liking stripes, stripes, and more stripes :-) Sounds like you are going to have a fun honeymoon!

Awesome! Your trip sounds exactly like mine. We flew into Milan, trained it to Venice, then Cinque Terre (we stayed in Monterosso-amazing) then off to Florenze and finally Rome. Best trip ever. I documented everything! If you need tips and must see places, I'm your girl. Love love love Italia. So romantic!

I just studied abroad in Rome and had a few favorite pizzerias: Dar Poeta (make sure to order the Nutella Calzone for dessert) and Pizzera Ai Marmi. My favorite gelato places were: La Gelateria Frigidarium (they dip the cones of gelato in chocolate), Giolitti, San Crispino, and Old Bridge. All delicious! Enjoy your trip!

Oh you are going to have a great honeymoon!!! :)
I just love stripes but my hubby hates when I wear it because he says I look like a sailor. LOL! I can't help but buy stripes and then wear it when he's not around.

Positano is a must! It is a beautiful little town on the coast. My family and I went to a farmhouse in the area for dinner, the wine was amazing!

Stripes are a staple, I find myself wearing them all the time too! I've been to Rome and Florence on your list, and loved them both. Rome is actually considered “small” and you can literally walk the entire city. My husband and I did that! It's such a great way to catch in all the sites by foot and see things you would miss if you were in a vehicle!

My husband and I stayed in the Amalfi Coast for 4 days in Positano. Amazing!!! Enjoy ll things lemon, dine at Chez Black, hop to Capri and rent a scooter so you can see whole island! There's a local beach with old sail boats to lay out in. Also save money to have a pair of sandals handmade! You will love!!! Florence has fabulous deals on leather…. Bargain!! And the old bridge of Pontevecchio is beautiful. Rome head to Trastavere for great bars and dining. If in season try the fried artichoke. Ok have a blast! Need more? Head to thebabygoat.com

Italy is the greatest country in the world! I studied abroad in Florence this past fall. I wrote up a post on my favorite restaurants, sights, etc. Here it is: http://justcsm.tumblr.com/post/15212551882/the-insiders-guide-to-florence

Italy is amazing! I just got back from a study abroad trip three days ago. Florence was one of my favorite places. You need to go to the Piazzale Michelangelo to watch the sunset. It is absolutely breathtaking. You should also climb the Duomo. It is a bit of a challenge but so worth it in the end. It is much better than the bell tower. If you go in the morning, there will not be a huge crowd so you won't have to wait in line.
As for restaurants, I loved Fiaschetteria da il Latini. The experience was just as good as the food. Here is their website: http://151.11.45.70/opencms/esercizistorici/smn/Latini.html?changeLang=en&
Venchi (in Piazza del Mercato Nuovo) is a great gelato place to try. They also have little chocolates that are delicious.
Hope you have a wonderful trip!

Hi there, just found your blog thanks to Pinterest. Love your style. Italy is my favourite place. If you're heading to Milan and staying you should try and get to Lake Como for at least a day. It's a bit of a drive but so worth it. The views are breathtaking. It has an easiness about the place, laid back. Bellagio is my personal stand out place on the lake and you can get one of the shuttle boats and basically have a very cheap tour of the lake!
