Weekend In Mendocino

Weekend In Mendocino

This past weekend, my sister flew in from Hawaii so we could take our mom on a surprise weekend getaway to Mendocino for her birthday. Our weekend was filled with endless laughs, pounds of fudge, cozy mornings by the fire at our inn, walks on the beach and some delicious local food. It was so nice to get away with two of my favorite people in the whole world and have no worries for 48 hours.

  2. Julia,

wow this looks like it was amazing! I hope you had the best time with your family! I love my sisters and mom too, and I don’t know what I would do without them! And can we talk about how completely amazing your mom looks?!?!? WOW!

  3. such gorgeous photos and you ladies are beautiful! I can totally see where you got that smile from :)
    sounds like the perfect weekend.

  4. You and your sister are so sweet to take your mom to Mendocino for her birthday. You girls are the sweetest daughters and your mom is beautiful, she looks like she could be your sister!

  5. Aw, I love that you posted these! I was actually born in Mendocino county (technically in Ft. Bragg I think) but we moved when I was 10 months old, so obviously I don’t have a lot of memories there. But my mom did take me back to visit when I was 10 and I just thought it was the most amazing place (esp. since I grew up in NC…totally different landscape)! The redwoods were my favorite part I think. Anyway, I’ve always wanted to go back. One day I will, but the photos help for now :)

  6. Hi Julia – I actually was referred to your site by Katrina @ PuglyPixel and had to drop you a small note. I love, love, LOVE your new look! Amazing job by Katrina and I have to say I am so glad to have found your blog.

I also hope you don’t mind but I tweeted and pinned one of your pictures (#10) with credit because I have been dreaming of visiting Mendocino for years now.

ps. what a lovely birthday present to your mom!
