This past weekend, my sister flew in from Hawaii so we could take our mom on a surprise weekend getaway to Mendocino for her birthday. Our weekend was filled with endless laughs, pounds of fudge, cozy mornings by the fire at our inn, walks on the beach and some delicious local food. It was so nice to get away with two of my favorite people in the whole world and have no worries for 48 hours.

What camera lens do you use on your Canon?
Hi Marci, I use a 50mm lens. I love it- definitely recommend it.
Aw, I love that you posted these! I was actually born in Mendocino county (technically in Ft. Bragg I think) but we moved when I was 10 months old, so obviously I don’t have a lot of memories there. But my mom did take me back to visit when I was 10 and I just thought it was the most amazing place (esp. since I grew up in NC…totally different landscape)! The redwoods were my favorite part I think. Anyway, I’ve always wanted to go back. One day I will, but the photos help for now :)
