Blue Faux Fur

Sweater Gap, Pants BCBG, Vest c/o Karen Kane, Glasses Ray Ban, Bag c/o Rebecca Minkoff, Lipgloss Smashbox “It Girl”

I love a good faux fur vest/jacket/accent and even more when it’s an unexpected color. This pop of blue is playful and fun and made me feel a little bit like cookie monster…in the best way possible. It was a nice change from a seemingly simple outfit for a day full of errands.

Happy weekend! We are going to try and go ice skating in Union Square if I can convince Thomas to take an hour off from studying :) *crossing my fingers!

Love the vest! I usually opt for blacks and neutrals when it comes to fur – but this look has me rethinking that. Love the blue!

This is why I come to your blog. Because while I’m still just wearing my “uniform” of blazer+jeans+heels, you’re over here wearing a blue fur vest.

Honestly, I saw a vest very similar to this at Express earlier this month and I put it on and made my husband take a photo of me in it so I could send it to my niece and tell her “Look, I killed Sully from Monsters Inc. so I could wear him!” because that’s literally how it looked on me. But it looks fantastic on you!

And not like Sully from Monsters Inc. :)

Hannah December 1, 2012 at 2:34 pm

Julia you look amazing! I am loving the vest jumper combo<3

TeeChuk December 2, 2012 at 10:41 pm

I love the the fur vest trend but now that everyone is wearing them I am not as interested. HOWEVER, this bright blue vest is different…I want!

Dana Owens December 13, 2012 at 10:16 pm

While I’m not a fan of vests, I think that the Faux Fur Jackets look great. I just bought one at Burlington Coat Factory. It has an amazing style to it and I loved the deals they offer. I saved about $50 on the one I bought.
