Velvet Dress

Dress Theyskens’ Theory/ Trench Awear/ Purse Tory Burch/ Belt UO/ Tights Target/ Sunglasses c/o Tory Burch/ Boots Michael Kors/ Ring Samantha Wills

I’ll be the first one to admit that I thought my velvet days were long gone (um, second grade?) but I proved myself wrong when I spotted this dress. The little cap sleeves are actually mesh and the fabric stretches just enough to fit perfectly without being too tight. Since I wear dresses more often than I wear anything else, my boots and tights have been my go-to with this chilly weather. You can find me in a similar combo probably 5 out of 7 days of the week!

i used to always tease my hubby and say that if i let him dress me for date night he would pick out a short “velvet” number. i still haven’t admitted that i am a fan now (again)…because then he will think he was right all along. =) what’s old is new again!

I am in love with that dress…. but I would love to see more posts with less expensive clothing. I can only wish I had that much money to shop with :(

I tend to stick to a dress with a scarf, tights and boots on the weekdays and a sweater, scarf and leggings on the weekends! There is something to be said to how cute/effortless this look is!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with dresses 5 out of 7 days per week! :) I love that you mixed a light hue jacket, with a medium brown belt and black tights/boots. Breaking fashion rules and owning it! You look gorgeous as always!

Velvet has come a LONG way since us 90′s children were subjected to it in grade school…I love how chic it can be now. This is a perfect weekday look!

I know, I never thought I’d get into velvet again after overwearing it in the 90s but I find myself drawn to it now anyway. Something about the fabric!

Thats so funny that you mentioned ’2nd grade’, b/c velvet also reminded my childhood. The dress looks fantastic! Love the color and the matching ring. Also, I love to see how many ways/different outfit styles you wear this camel bag with.
