Soft Curls Tutorial For Short Hair

As promised, here is my tutorial on how to get the soft, loose waves that I’ve been creating with my short hair. One of the first things I did when I came home with my new shorter do was play around with curling it in different ways. I can’t necessarily do the same things I did with my long hair, but I have a whole new set of styles I can create. This one is relatively easy and simple. I hope you enjoy!

Too bad, your tutorial is blocked in Germany and I can’t watch it :-(

Hey Julia! I love all your posts, thank so much for doing them! One question- what’s the song playing in the video? It matches so well with the video, great editing!

You inspired me to cut four inches of my hair off and to say the least I am very disappointed it doesn’t look as good as yours does. I have watched this tutorial multiple times to try and achieve this look but unfortunately my hair just doesn’t hold the curl :( your hair looks great though and I really like it curled. I’ll keep trying to make mine look as good as yours. Thanks for the tips!

What size curling iron did you use for this tutorial? 1.5 or 2 inches?

Hey Julia,

Thanks so much for this, I definitely will try it out as I just bought probably the same curling iron as you! Just wondering, how hot of a setting do you have it at (temperature/degrees)..and how long do you hold the hair around the curling iron for?

Thanks so much, love your hair and your blog!

Hi! I just recently cut my hair the same length as yours is here. I also have very thick hair and was wondering what your stylist did to keep the ends from looking too blunt without adding layers? Mine is too blunt on the ends for such thick hair.
