As I mentioned in this post, we were only a quick ferry ride from Lucerne when we stayed in Weggis, so we hopped on a boat one morning after breakfast to take the short trip across Lake Lucerne. While it would have been nice to stay in Lucerne, I preferred having an excuse to take the boat across the lake and see more of the surrounding area. Just google Lake Lucerne (no, seriously do it!) and look at those views. The images are incredible, but in person, it’s even more beautiful. Plus, you have an amazing scene of Lucerne right as you draw up to the edge of the city, which is full of so much character and charm. We didn’t have a set plan for the day, except a few spots we didn’t want to miss which included Chapel Bridge, The Nine Towers and the Old Town. A few hours before dinner, we got back on the ferry to head back to our hotel and cuddled up next to each other to watch the sun set.
