Our first day in Oahu, we decided to drive to the North Shore for the day. With my sister’s recommendations and the suggestions you guys left on Instagram and via email, we had a long list of places to hit up. Since we started the day early, our first stop was acai bowls for breakfast from Haleiwa Bowls. These were my favorite acai bowls from our trip. That’s saying something because we tried a new acai bowl location everyday. We spent the rest of the early morning at one of my sister’s favorite beaches (she lived on Oahu for 6+ years), Mokuleia Beach, which was so peaceful and way less crowded than most of the surrounding ones. It was a short drive from Haleiwa, which made it easy to drive back to Giovannis Shrimp Truck for lunch, which is a must-stop. The shrimp scampi was so addicting, we could have ate plate after plate! We ended our day at Waimea Bay, soaking up the last bit of sunshine and turquoise water before driving back to Honolulu.

I wore this Mara Hoffman parrot swimsuit paired with these cotton pants (I love to wear them with my favorite oversized sweater as well) as a coverup. I love how the swimsuit works as a croptop with high waisted pants. Right now, both the pants, swimsuit, beach tote and sunglasses are all 25% off during Shopbop’s Friends & Family Sale with code: SPRING25 until tomorrow, 4/9. This off the shoulder top I wore in this post is also back in stock as well as this dress and this dress are now 25% off!
