Right when we got to the Dominican Republic, I tore off my winter clothes and slipped into this For Love & Lemons dress for sunset cocktails. I went sans shoes and did my go-to minimal “beach to dinner” beauty routine that I had shared on Snapchat. In case you missed it, you can now check it out here on a new part of our site, GMG Now (there’s a tab for it in the header, just look for the heart). It’s a feed of everything that’s happening in the world of Gal Meets Glam, all in real time. On it, you’ll find Instagrams (including outfit shopping details), Tweets, Snapchat videos, my regular blog posts and a brand new feature – Mini Posts. We created GMG Now so that our readers could have a central location to check our updates across multiple social channels and the blog. We also wanted to add more “quick” content, accessible anytime of day, especially when you’re on the go.
When we checked into our bungalow, I was so excited when I saw that we had a hammock on our porch! It’s been my favorite spot in the morning to check emails and edit photos while sipping on my tea. One day when we have outdoor space, I’m definitely getting one of these.
Like I mentioned in yesterday’s post, my favorite holiday looks are ones that are effortless. I want to be able to throw something on and go and not fuss about little details or needing to add things. This For Love and Lemons dress is romantic and feminine but in a boho, beachy way. It also comes in a gorgeous maxi dress version.
Our hotel is situated right on Playa Grande (hence the name, Playa Grande Beach Club), so we’ve spent a ton of time there during our stay so far. We love waking up to the sounds of the ocean and walking a few hundred feet to the beach, especially for sunrise and sunsets.
