San Francisco has been rainy all week and aside from the fact that it is much needed, I’ve been personally loving it. I find it soothing- waking up to the soft sound of the water hitting the windows next to our bed, the gloomy sky that makes me feel like it’s always either really early or getting late, the quiet streets and my emo playlist. It’s also been an incredibly productive week because we don’t have the sunshine teasing us to come out and play.

Thanks to the rain, I’ve been living in my Hunter boots. I wear them often anyways, but they’re all I’ve worn for the past 6 days straight (aside from sneakers to go work out). I did a roundup over here on GMG Now of my go-to rainy day gear and some past looks I’ve worn on days like these. I’m usually either wearing my Original Tall Hunter Boots in black or my Tour Boots in green. The Tour boots are great for traveling because they’re lighter and bendable to fold. You can check out a few old posts where I’ve worn them here, here, here, here, here and here.

I recently bought this Hunter umbrella after one too many experiences with cheap, flimsy ones. It’s honestly the best and I need to order a second one so Thomas stops stealing it from me. I’ve been eyeing the pink color which will be great because I know T won’t try and take it.

This is my version of “it’s almost spring and I know it’s not sunny but I refuse to put winter clothes back on” look. Aside from the rain, it really has been nice enough to start pulling out a few spring pieces and layering them. I love this new french blue cotton skirt from Club Monaco and I especially love the bow around the waist. I paired it with an old striped pink tee from J.Crew (similar here) and topped with my trusty Burberry trench. Have you checked out some of Club Monaco’s newest pieces? Swoon! I couldn’t help but order this blue dress as well and these scalloped chambray shorts.
