I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, London is my favorite city I’ve ever visited. If the process of moving over the pond wasn’t so complicated (and our family could come with us), I would do it in a second. For now, we’ll just stick with visiting and using the excuse of missing friends to hop back over a few times a year. Luckily last month we had a good amount of time to spend in between Italy and the countryside followed by a few last days before we flew back to SF. I could spend hours and hours just wandering through the neighborhoods in Kensington and Notting Hill. The mix of pastel homes and pink spring blooms gave our walks a whimsical feel that I loved.
We walked over to St. Lukes Mews which has the prettiest doorsteps. I called dibs on the pink one but there was a mint colored one that came in close second. My camera roll is filled with doorstep pictures from London. I think I could actually start a whole Instagram account dedicated to them. Ha! Afterwards, we made our way over to Farm Girl Cafe on Portobello Road. We ordered two lattes, one rose and one lavender, and split the berry buckwheat pancakes. This place is just as delicious as it looks and we already have plans to stop by on our next trip over.
I’d been eyeing this blush lace Burberry coat since I saw the pastel ones on the runway. It’s the epitome of feminine and delicate and I knew if I tried it on, I wouldn’t be able to walk away without it. It’s definitely a piece that I will have forever and while I plan on wearing it with nicer dresses for special occasions, it works just as well for everyday with jeans and a tee. This version of it just went 40% off yesterday when the Net-A-Porter sale started and this brushed cashmere one is 40% off as well. If you’re looking for more of the classic cotton style, this navy one and this lilac one are on sale, too.
