bareMinerals Original Foundation in Medium Beige, Bobbi Brown Eye Opening Mascara, bareMinerals Stroke of Light Eye Brightener, Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Compact in “Bronze”, Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment in “Rose”, Cuyana Makeup Bag
I have drawers full of makeup products, honestly enough to start a small store, but I can count my tried and true products on one hand. There are so many options out there and I love testing out new makeup and colors, often switching up my routine, but at the end of the day, I keep going back to what works best for me. I like to keep my beauty look simple and natural, opting for a little bit of color on my lips and cheeks rather than on my eyes. I often get questions from readers asking what makeup products I’m wearing and a majority of the time, it’s these five products…
I’ve talked about blush and bronzers and have mentioned a few of my go-tos before. Both bring so much life to a bare face. Even if you have a nice summer glow going on, a bit of a rosy cheek makes all the difference. I often switch between using bronzers (I love bareMinerals in warmth) or different shades of blush (Marc Jacobs in “reckless” is my most used), but my Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Compact in “Bronze” is a beautiful blend of both. I get a hint of bronzer, just enough blush and dust of shimmer to complete the look. This has been my favorite all summer long.
If you see me with a lip color on and it’s not a noticeable lipstick, it’s probably Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment in “Rose” (or Petal). I’ve talked about my love for these countless times and they’re still my #1. I always, always have one with me. They add the perfect amount of color to your lips while keeping them moisturized and feeling good all day. Think of them as your ideal lip balm.
I use bareMinerals Stroke of Light Eye Brightener as my under eye concealer. I’ve been using this stuff for years and love it! It covers dark circles under your eyes and leaves them bright and fresh, even after the longest of nights. I’ll keep this on me while traveling to dab a bit on if I’m looking a little tired.
I shared how I apply my mascara, along with listing the ones I usually use over here, but if I had to narrow it all down to one, it would be Bobbi Brown Eye Opening Mascara. If you like long, thick looking lashes, then you’ll want to go run out and grab a tube (or two) of this stuff. It glides on smoothly, with the brush being the perfect thickness, while elongating and creating the big lashes that I love. It doesn’t look clumpy or overdone, even if you apply one too many coats, like I sometimes do.
Last, but not least, is bareMinerals Original Foundation in Medium Beige. I’ve been using this since high school and though I’ve gone back and forth with liquid foundation, I always come back to this. If I’m wearing makeup, this is usually in my routine. I lightly dust a bit all over my face, which gives it a nice, even look. My tip for keeping your skin looking dewy, is to apply your moisturizer right before you apply this on your face.
Also, in case you missed it, I shared my favorite makeup brushes over on GMG Now a while back along with favorite blush shades, moisturizers and night creams, facial cleansers and skincare masks. Along with hair care tips, mascara tips and favorite drugstore beauty buys. Let me know what you would like to see next!
