Even if the leaves haven’t changed yet, it’s not hard to spot some of the beautiful autumnal colors around Charleston. Just look amongst the colorful homes and you’ll be sure to see some cinnamon and burnt orange shades in there. It’s the perfect holiday decor without even having to decorate! That’s been one of our favorite activities, just heading out in the city with our cameras in hand, in search of anything that catches our eye.

It’s only the beginning of the season, but our calendar is already filling up with activities and events and friends and family coming to visit. I couldn’t be more excited- to both discover new places and show our guests them, too! I’ve always had a penchant for looks that have an almost vintage-like vibe to them. Often times, it’s a simple way we change our hair or makeup that can dramatically alter the look as well. This month, I’ve partnered with Express to help get my wardrobe ready for all the fall festivities. This Express pleated skirt pairs perfectly with this beautiful blush floral top, also from Express, by pulling out the persimmon shades. This outfit will definitely be my choice for events and gatherings over the next couple of months.

If you’re looking for a few fall pieces that are suited for fall nights with the girls, bridal showers or weekend brunch, and that don’t break the bank, I’ve already found them. For one, this Express skirt is one of the items that you can just wear any way you desire – with a white button down for work, a chunky knit and booties on the weekend, or with a lace blouse and a leather jacket for a night out. It also comes in red, which is festive for the upcoming holidays. A simple sweater dress can also be styled so many different ways for the season and a pop of color from a peacoat, like this red one, will also be a nice contrast against the neutrals that fill so many of our closets this time of year.
