Last week we got our first taste of spring-like weather, so I decided to skip the rest of winter and go right into spring. This week has brought even warmer days, allowing us to leave our coats and top layers at home. Alas, a bit of chill has rolled back in, but the sunshine still stays, so I’m a happy girl. I’m going into the weekend with some small plans with friends and excited for some of our GMG Collection team to come down from NYC and see Charleston for the first time.

I love MDS Stripes. The collection, started by Mark D. Sikes, the amazing interior designer, has become one of my favorites brands for effortless pieces. Last year I bought this skirt and this dress, and the previous year this skirt. They’re easy and chic and most important, classic. I love his collection for spring- it’s filled with cheerful colors that are shared over an array of patterns from gingham to florals and of course, stripes.

Last year I got this Cuyana trench coat and introduced it first in early spring. It’s proving to be the mvp of my current wardrobe that’s transitioning into warm weather pieces, but still needs something more than a light layer over the top. I also found this version for under $70 along with this Everlane option that’s under $150.
