After fashion week was over in NYC, Thomas and I stayed a few extra days and enjoyed the city together. We headed out for our first date night with a stop at The Surrey for some rooftop drinks with an amazing view. I pulled out this Topshop polka dot midi skirt that I had been itching to wear, but didn’t get the chance to until then. It was still warm enough to get away with a crop top, so I took advantage while I had the chance. I now have a few midi skirts in my closet and I can’t get enough! Tibi always does the best midi skirts and their fall jewel tones (like this skirt) are totally lust-worthy.
It’s usually around this time of year, with the change of the season, that my skincare and makeup need a little boost. My summer tan has faded away, my skin’s a little drier and I’m looking for that perfect glow. I used five Laura Mercier products to create the perfect understated makeup look in less than 3 minutes.
The first step is to add an illuminating primer to your bare (moisturized) face. I’m using Laura Mercier’s foundation primer in “Radiance”- and it does just that, makes your skin look radiant! If I’m in a rush and want my skin to breathe (but still want a bit of coverage) I’ll just wear this primer and a swipe of mascara.
I still have a few more posts from NYC to share with you guys even though we are heading to London tomorrow! On one of our days during fashion week, we had a few hours to kill in between meetings, so we headed to Soho to fit in some shopping and lunch at one of our favorite spots, The Butcher’s Daughter. Afterwards, we were strolling around and found this ice cream truck that had non-dairy (vegan) ice-cream. I try and stay away from dairy as much as possible and usually eat a plant-based/vegan diet a majority of the time, so we were super excited to find it. Thomas and I ended up sharing mint-chocolate chip on a cone- so yummy! I wore this playful printed Carven dress and my trusty Charlotte Olympia kitty flats. It’s funny because I had multiple people come up to me and compliment me on my dress and tell me it reminded them of the back of Angelina Jolie’s wedding dress (which I had not seen) but looked up right when I got home and I had to agree!
