You know when you find one of those lines where you literally want one of everything? Well, that was exactly how I felt about Emerson Fry when I first discovered them. Each piece can be considered a ‘closet staple’ so you immediately feel the need to have one of each. I instantly felt chic in this all black (sweater + pants + heels) combo, but loved it even more with the structured grey topper over it. I’ve also been living in these black pumps- I really think they are the most perfect pair.

I’m not usually one to be excited about the rain, unless of course I’m at home in my pajamas all warm and snuggled up. But I have to confess, I’ve been secretly wishing it would rain ever since buying this Felix Rey umbrella a few months back. It was one of those impulse purchases- saw it on Pinterest, had to have- but it really does make a rainy day better.

I wore a similar version of this outfit this past weekend for brunch with the girls and to walk around the city. Simple layers that don’t take much thought are usually my go-to on weekends because I’d rather be out enjoying the day! Old Navy has some great cardigans and sweaters right now (also picked up this one and this one) that I love. The quality of them is really great and they’re so cozy that I always have one on hand to throw over anything.
