Simple Sparkle

Helmut Lang Jacket (also available here and here- on sale here!), Rebecca Taylor Top (on sale here), Ella Moss Skirt (also available here), Valentino Heels

My go-to effortlessly chic combination is always all black. You really can’t go wrong with any version of the combination. Since I’m initially drawn to more feminine pieces, having more casual/sporty items are a nice contrast. This Helmut Lang bomber jacket is my favorite thing to throw over a simple black dress or pair with a leather skirt. It’s on sale at Nordstrom right now, but here are a few other bomber jackets I love…

Casual Sparkle

J.Crew Shirt (30% off w/ code: GIFTNOW), Old Navy Sequin Tank, Old Navy Denim, Valentino Pumps, Saint Laurent Bag, Ray Ban Aviators, Old Navy Scarf, Giorgio Armani Lip Maetsro in “400″

I’ve always been a big fan of daytime sparkle, especially during the holidays. This sequin tank from Old Navy pairs perfectly under a plaid shirt just as much as it does with a party skirt. I have three plaid shirts that I wear at least once a week and love styling them with sequins to change them up from the androgynous looks I usually go with. Another one of my favorite holiday looks from Old Navy is this sequined tank paired with these structured tuxedo ankle pants.

Top, Sweater & Scarf all c/o LOFT

I’ve always loved both Ann Taylor and LOFT. LOFT was actually where I got a majority of my clothes when I got my first internship in college and I’ve continued to shop there ever since. I always find the best classic pieces (sweaters, blouses, etc.) that end up becoming staples in my closet. I recently picked up these three items for our holiday trip this weekend and know they’ll be perfect for our cozy days spent mostly outdoors.

ANN INC. (which is represented by Ann Taylor and LOFT) recently released its first mobile app, BFF, which allows you to do everything from search for jobs, save favorite quotes, fashion trends, ideas and news. I love their description which is, “”News, trends & career advice to put your best foot forward.” I’ve been playing around on it the past couple of days and love being able to save (and find) everything in one place. My favorite part may be getting to read career advice from fashion leaders at ANN INC. and once particular on “Inspiration”. Another feature you can do with the app is Instagram a picture of yourself “putting your best foot forward” and use the hashtag #bfftrends to be featured on the app.

You can download the BFF app on both iTunes and Google Play.
