Morning On The Upper East Side

After fashion week was over, Thomas and I packed our bags and moved on over to The Mark Hotel for a little weekend getaway in the city. Since we were already in New York, we figured we should stay through the weekend and enjoy parts of the city that we didn’t have time to explore during the madness of NYFW. We used the bikes available at the hotel to get us all around the Upper East Side one morning.

Our first stop was at Organic Avenue, a delicious place for a fresh pressed green juice or anything healthy for that matter! Thomas and I both love starting our days off with a green smoothie or juice instead of coffee- it gives us way more energy throughout the day and no crash at 2pm ;)

A little indulgence after fashion week was definitely necessary. I try and stay away from too much sugar (I get terrible headaches if I eat too much) but the treats at Vegan Divas can’t be missed while in NYC. Trust me when I say that they have THE BEST donuts I’ve ever had. Vegan or not, they’re still the best. I go for the mini ones so I can try multiple flavors + a yummy blueberry and lemon muffin.

We made a quick stop at The Met on our way to Central Park. It’s so incredibly beautiful! We spent a whole day inside last February and still have so much we didn’t see. We’re definitely setting aside a dedicated day on our next trip to the city in a few months.

I just love Central Park. We rode (and walked) through the park on this beautiful crisp Fall morning, listening to all of the musicians, watching performers and stopping to take in all of the beauty.

J.Crew Sweater (25% off until 9/24), Rag & Bone Shorts, J.Crew Scarf (25% off until 9/24), Free People Hat (similar here), Marni Sandals, Chloe Bag, Ray Ban Aviators

J.Crew is also having 25% off most of their fall styles with code: SHOPFORFALL until 9/24. A few of my favorite pieces aside from the sweater and scarf I’m wearing above are these scalloped pink flats, this ‘hello goodbye’ tee, this embellished blazer (that I may have already picked up!) and this coat.

I’m so excited to announce that I’ve teamed up with my favorite beauty brand, Bare Minerals, and will be heading to NYFW this Wednesday as their Fashion Correspondent. I’ve been wearing Bare Minerals for over 7 years and share my love for the brand frequently on the blog, so I couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with them. Be sure to follow along as I take over their social channels (InstagramTwitter and Facebook) to share live coverage and inside sneak peeks of the shows, parties and street/style/beauty inspiration during the week!
