I started my spring cleaning last week and realized how many shoes I have. I also realized that with all of those shoes, I only wear a few pairs consistently throughout the week and a handful of them are ShoeMint. These ShoeMint booties have quickly become one of the most worn pair of shoes in my closet (along with my other booties). Whether it’s winter/spring/fall/summer, booties are always practical in San Francisco. I also couldn’t pass on these color block wedges, which will look perfect with my summer dresses.

To celebrate the start of spring, ShoeMint is giving away one pair of shoes of your choice to five lucky Gal Meets Glam readers. To enter: Head on over to ShoeMint and sign up for free (if you don’t have an account already) and come back and leave a comment letting me know which pair you would get if you won! The winners will be chosen at random next Tuesday, April 2nd. Good luck!

You can also click here to receive 20% off your first purchase on ShoeMint. (for first time purchases/members only)

*This giveaway is open to US and Canada only.

Short Hair

Blouse Heidi Merrick/ Jeans c/o James Jeans/ Sandals Zara/ Purse Stella McCartney/ Ring Page Sargisson/ Lipstick Bare Minerals “Strength”

If you follow me on Twitter or Pinterest, then you’ve probably seen me tweet/pin about wanting to cut my hair for the last few months. I’ve actually wanted to do it for a while, but I always chicken out. I tried out a new salon last Friday to go a little bit darker and somehow got the courage to cut 12 inches off! I was texting my sister and Thomas from the salon about it and they both pretty much said “stop talking about it and do it already”. So, I did! I was surprisingly not attached to my long hair at all and instantly loved my new do. While I think long hair is really beautiful, I hated how heavy it was (I have really, really thick hair) and the fact that it had no style or shape to it. My new cut is so refreshing and I really feel like “me”, which is funny because I never thought of myself as a person who would love short hair. I guess it was worth the risk- I don’t know if I’ll ever want to grow my hair out again. But I can never say never… ;)

P.S. I went to Richard at Population Salon for the cut and color. He was amazing and took a lot of time to make sure the cut was absolutely perfect, which takes even more time with thick hair. I was also really impressed with the color, which sometimes takes multiple times to get right because I’m really picky. He completely understood what I wanted and it came out better than I expected! I’ll definitely be going back to him.

A Few New Things + Links

New chevron pillows added to our ghost chairs.

I couldn’t pass up these vintage stools and was thrilled when Thomas loved them as much as I did.

I’m currently on a pink kick: can’t get enough of these polka dot Keds and this striped Ralph Lauren shirt I found at TJ Maxx.

How darling is this polka dot KJP bow bracelet?!

This week flew by and I’m so glad it did. I have a few projects to work on this weekend, but looking forward to spending some time outside in the sunshine. Thomas and I have been talking about having a picnic and exploring a new neighborhood, which both sound pretty great right now. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and here are a few of my favorite finds on the internet this week:

Yet, another striped blouse I feel the need to add to my collection…oh and this citrus one too.

This “Stop and smell the roses” print is definitely ending up somewhere in our house.

I’m a sucker for anything with flamingos on it.

A great spring sandal for under $40!
