I first discovered Mara Hoffman through one of her swim suits that I saw pinned on Pinterest. The intricate pattern and detail instantly grabbed my attention and then immediately went on my wish list.  I love when I discover a new designer or line that instantly takes my mind on a  journey of where I would wear that item. I feel as if I would explore caves, swim in a tropical ocean and immerse myself in a culture I know nothing about while wearing these beautiful things. I tend to do this a lot with things I fall in love with. Please tell me I am not the only one that does this?!

Studded Details

Tank Zara, Skirt Zara, Sandals Zara, Sunnies Ray Ban, Necklace c/o Stella & Dot

We took these photos last weekend when we were back in Stockton for my bridal shower & a grad party. It’s funny, the weather difference between San Francisco  and Stockton. It’s only about an hour and fifteen minute drive between the two, but while one city is 90+ the other is below 60.  I find that a maxi skirt is great for almost any occasion over the summer. They are light and breezy, but easy to layer and stay warm on cool nights. I like to add  sweatshirts over my maxi skirts or dresses to give them a dressed down, laid-back look  if necessary.

White Lace

Jacket Zara, Tank c/o StyleMint, Jeans Joe’s Jeans, Heels Monolo Blahnik (on sale!), Purse Stella McCartney, Necklace c/o Stella & Dot

When I tried on this coat at Zara, I knew it was coming home with me. White…lace…gathered shoulders…! Now that Thomas and I are living in San Francisco, we have to get used to the fact that it stays pretty cool year round. This can be a little hard since you don’t want to bring out your winter coats in the middle of summer because it’s 60  degrees out. This jacket is the perfect summer jacket and also looks great over a dress for a nice evening event!
