A Twist On The Classics

Burberry Trench/ Men’s Button-Up/ Helmut Lang Leather Pants/Ray Ban Sunglasses/Ann Taylor Pumps/ NARS “Heat Wave” Lipstick

One of the many joys of personal style is that it’s just that, personal! There are no right or wrong way of doing things and you can’t really judge someone else’s decisions because they’re their own. My style is constantly evolving and changing with each year, experience and current inspirations. One of these experiences being recent, when I teamed up with one of my favorite local SF bloggers (and just an overall wonderful person!), Erin from Apartment 34. I’ve always looked up to Erin’s style even though it’s completely different from my own. It makes me want to step out of my comfort zone, experiment and try things I normally wouldn’t gravitate towards.

Erin and I stopped by the new Scoop NYC boutique on Grant Ave. in SF and did something a little out of the ordinary….we shopped for each other! It was so much fun to pull looks that I would wear, but with Erin in mind. I knew I wanted to put her in a dress or skirt since she usually has on pants or jeans. And not just any dress, a very feminine dress. Erin has a very chic, menswear inspired style with lots of crisp button ups, tailored blazers and leather, so I wanted to get her into something very different and very me! I envy her way of layering, coming up with unique ways to style things and always looking so.cool. That’s why it was so fun to have her style me and pull things that I would normally look over. We had a blast trying on different looks and even more so selecting our final outfits- Erin in a gorgeous Preen dress with a fitted skirt and me in a men’s button-up and Helmut Lang leather pants. You can see more of Erin’s look here! Scoop NYC was the perfect store to achieve both looks since they carry such a wide variety of brands and styles including Helmut Lang, M Missoni, DVF, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Rag & Bone and more! I’m so excited we finally have one in San Francisco and have already been back to the store more than I would like to admit ;)

In honor of the opening of Scoop NYC in SF, Erin and I will be hosting a night of cocktails & shopping next Thursday, October 24th from 6-8PM and would love for you all to join us! 10% of the evenings proceeds will benefit Aim High, a local nonprofit that provides further education and learning opportunities for low-income middle school students. There will also be an Instagram giveaway at the event for a chance to win a $500 gift card (one from Apartment 34 & one from GMG!) Please RSVP to EILEEN@LIVIDINI.com and we hope to see you there!

Right now I have shoes on my mind and fall shoes to be exact! I usually take my time with shoes, trying to only buy things that I know I’ll get tons of use out of. Boots are always an great investment- especially living here in SF- since I wear them year round.

Black, White & Grey

Old Navy Sweater, Zoe Karssen Tee (25% off at Shopbop w/ code: INTHEFAMILY25), Club Monaco Skirt (on sale), J.Crew Hat, Ray Ban Sunglasses, Modern Vintage Booties (old, similar here), Joie Bag c/o

I always transition into wearing more neutral colors during the fall season and my style becomes more and more relaxed. I think it’s because the cold weather makes me want to bundle up in scarves and knits and sip hot cocoa in front of a fire. This honestly has to be one of the coziest sweaters I own. An oversized fit is personally my favorite style and I love how it can be thrown easily over a skirt or pair of jeans.
