Weekend Ease

Zara Top, Iro Jeans, Rebecca Minkoff Bag, Theory Sneakers (old- similar here, here, here and here), Krewe Optic Sunglasses c/o, Bobbi Brown Lipgloss in “Petal”

This weekend was a lazy one, which was kinda nice since our two previous ones were spent running around NYC. The weather was incredibly beautiful, so we spent Saturday having a picnic at our favorite park and Sunday riding our bikes all over the city. I opted for a casual cool look yesterday with a few old favorites and my new printed Rebecca Minkoff mini tote. Other than my leopard sac, I’ve never owned a printed bag before- mainly because I’ve always thought I would be limited to what I would wear it with.  While I paired this one with all dark colors, I can see myself wearing it with a brightly colored maxi to contrast it in the spring!

Here are a few other Rebecca Minkoff bags I’m loving (especially this one!)…

This post was sponsored by Nordstrom, but all opinions are my own.

Snow Day

Sandro Leather Jacket (sold out, similar style here & last seen here), Aritzia Shirt (old, similar style here), Old Navy Jeans, J.Crew Booties, Saint Laurent Bag, Zara Scarf (last seen here), Preston & Olivia Hat c/o

It had probably been over a year and a half since that last time I’d seen snow, so I’m sure you can imagine my excitement when it started snowing while we were in NYC. It was so magical and beautiful, but also kind of miserable to be outside in. This was on our last day in the city, so we wanted to still get in as much as we could without the weather dampening our plans. We spent the morning at the Met and then walked back to our hotel- enjoying a little bit of snow that turned into a lot of snow. Ha! We arrived back, teeth chattering and clothes damp, but with a huge smile on both our faces. Watch the end of this little instagram video I took- he always knows how to make me laugh!

If you haven’t noticed, I’ve been wearing so much blue lately! Always a favorite combo of mine- denim on denim. You can shop more denim looks here…

Weekend Getaway in NYC

1. 5. & 11. Wearing Awear Coat (old, similar here and here), Emerson Fry Sweater, J.Crew Booties, Kate Spade NY Bag c/o, bareMinerals Lipstick in “Live It Up” 2. Roses and champagne upon arrival 3. Researching spots for dinner in our cozy living room 4. Afternoon tea at The Pembroke Room at our hotel- such a cute spot for a glass of champagne with the girls 6. The gorgeous living room in our suite 7. Afternoon coffee and capuccino with some delicious goodies from Vegan Divas 8. We were so excited when we found out our room had a real wood burning fireplace, especially after spending a week in the freezing cold 9. The view of 23rd St. from our window looking towards Park Ave. 10. It was hard to get out of bed every morning with the huge, comfy bed 12. Valentine’s Day cupcakes from BabyCakes NYC

Once fashion week was over, my husband and I checked out of our hotel near Lincoln Center and into The Lowell- a cozy, romantic hotel on the upper east side. We arrived mid-snowstorm to a beautiful room with champagne and a real wood burning fire place and quickly decided to spend the day cuddled up inside. How could you not? It was definitely one of those “I never want to leave this place” moments. The service was exceptional and after being outside in the cold for most of the days, we couldn’t wait to get back into our big fluffy bed at night. Another favorite moment? Having high tea and delicious little treats in The Pembroke Room in the late afternoon- I felt like I was in England! It was definitely a trip to remember- a first NYC experience for us together- and we both fell in love with the city.

A huge thank you the Lowell Hotel for our amazing complimentary stay! It was beyond our expectations and I definitely hope to be back soon.

P.S. The Lowell is having a winter upgrade special where you can book a winter getaway and enjoy a complimentary room upgrade!
