Red Shoes- CLOSED

Isabel Marant Dress (top version here and here, same print dress here), Free People Hat, Saint Laurent Bag, Michael Kors Watch, ShoeMint Wedges c/o

Aside from a few pops of color here and there, I usually only buy neutral colored shoes. I somehow always talk myself out of getting the brightly hued pair, saying that they’re not practical and I probably won’t wear them that often. I got these red sandals a few months back and have worn them non-stop, so I thought I would add another pair of red shoes into my wardrobe. These wedges are so comfy and change up my usual neutral color palette.

Today, ShoeMint is giving a pair of shoes away to one lucky Gal Meets Glam reader! All you have to do is head on over to ShoeMint (sign up for free if you don’t have an account already) and leave a comment letting me know which pair you want to win. The winner will be selected at random next Thursday, July 18th. You can also get 20% off your first purchase here. Open to US & Canada readers only.

A Touch Of Sparkle

Shoshanna Dress c/o, Fendi Bag and Scarf, Miu Miu Flats, Michael Kors Watch, Sarah Chloe Bangle via BaubleBar

A tailored sheath dress and flats is always my go-to for a long day of meetings. It always looks polished and professional, but I add small touches (like the sparkle on these flats) for personality. These flats were pretty much my dream shoe: mary-jane stye (love!), flats (practical for SF) and an unexpected sparkle on the heel (done right, too!) My girlfriend said to me “those shoes were made for you” and I had to agree.

Barely There Makeup

I think every girl searches for that perfect, barely there makeup look, especially in the summer when we spend most of our time outside. I often go sans makeup throughout the week, but it’s always nice to have a go-to, minimal look that you can throw on in minutes. In order to achieve this dewy-skin appearance, I use three things: Olay Total Effects CC Cream, a swipe of mascara, and a sheer lip gloss. First, I start off with Olay Total Effects CC Cream, which I love because it has so many uses—it’s like a tinted moisturizer, a sunscreen, and a color corrector that leaves your skin feeling fresh and light. I then do one swipe of mascara and add a slightly pigmented lip gloss (pink preferred) to finish it off. This is my husband’s favorite look of mine—honestly, he gives me more compliments when I have little to no makeup on than when I’m completely done up. So instead of trying to cover every blemish, dark circle, and flaw, my resolution this summer is to embrace my natural skin and wear less makeup!
