I would typically describe myself as a “home body”. While I love going out for drinks with the girls or heading to mid-week events, there is nothing that beats staying home with my husband and cuddling up on the couch to watch a movie. This ‘Holiday Gift Guide’ is filled with beautiful gifts for the home and comfy (and chic) lounge/sleepwear. I love for my living space to be filled with things that constantly inspire and make my days brighter. This could be through a small print, a little trinket or my favorite pillow.
If you follow me on instagram (@juliahengel) then you have probably seen me post some of my older sister’s artwork. She’s always been an incredibly talented artist and only recently started to sell her artwork on her Etsy site- Lauren Taylor Creates. The above print of the lady in the red dress is one of her pieces, but she recently launched a ‘pink camera’ series that I love! She’s offerering Gal Meets Glam readers 10% off with code: GMG10 now through December 25th and any her pieces would make for a beautiful gift to anyone!

Sincerely Jules Tee, Tibi Skirt (on sale here and here), Anthropologie Necklace, Louboutin Pumps, Antik Batik Clutch, NARS “Heat Wave” Lipstick
I brought this skirt home with me back in September after a trip to the Tibi store during NYFW. Although I’ve worn it multiple times since then, I never had a chance to take pictures of it to show you guys. Tibi is one of my favorite brands and their collection of full, tea length skirts are so gorgeous and ladylike. I love how this organza cut-out one is slightly sheer at the bottom and doesn’t cut off my frame. The next one on my wish list? This pink one!
For the holidays, I love mixing dressier pieces with more casual ones to not look too formal. I love how my Sincerely Jules tee dresses my look down and allows me to add an even more over-the-top rhinestone necklace. You can shop more of my favorite Tibi skirts here…
J.Crew Jacket (old, similar here, here, here and here), Gap Sweater, 7FAM Jeans, Salvatore Ferragamo Flats, Preston & Olivia Hat c/o, BaubleBar Cuff, Loren Hope Bracelet, Kendra Scott Ring from Luxe Collection (borrowed), Public Bike
My new favorite thing to do on Sundays is ride my bike around our neighborhood (alongside my husband running!) It was my birthday gift and something I’d been wanting since we moved into our current place a year ago. During the week, I use it to run errands and get around quicker. I have to admit though, I’ve stayed away from big hills as I’ve been way too nervous to ride them- at least alone. I do wear a helmet, it’s just not shown in these pictures :)
On this Sunday, I was dressed up for brunch at our favorite weekend spot- Judahlicious- and layered on my jewels. I know everyone is probably familiar with Kendra Scott, but have you seen her new Luxe Collection? I’ve always loved her pieces (I mean, how amazing are these!?) and love this new collection even more, particularly this ring, this necklace and these earrings. All of the pieces in the Luxe Collection are the classic Kendra Scott silhouettes, but with more luxurious stones and accents. You can shop more of my favorites from the collection here…
