Style For Your City

As you guys must know by now, I’m a big fan of StyleMint. They make amazing tees and blouses that I end up wearing again and again. So, I was really excited when StyleMint asked me to be a part of their Style For Your City challenge-  A Facebook contest where readers can upload an outfit that shows how your style represents your city. I’ve teamed up with 9 other bloggers and we have all styled two new pieces from StyleMint’s April collection to represent our city. San Francisco is always challenging my style in more ways than one. There is amazing style all around this city and I’m constantly inspired by the people I see. I always want to be practical, while still wearing the things I love and the things I want to wear. The 9 other bloggers and I will be picking the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners! 1st Place gets 5 StyleMint credits, 2nd gets 2 StyleMint credits and 3rd place get 1 StyleMint credit. You can enter through the Facebook app and use the hashtag #styleforyourcity. I can’t wait to see everyones own personal style and how their city reflects that.

*Contest is open to US readers only, ages 18 & over.

Dress Marni, Bag Stella McCartney, Heels Jimmy Choo

If I’m heading to an event at night, going to dinner with my husband and friends or just wanting to dress up, I reach for a dress. Since it’s not always practical to wear a dress (there is even a Twitter account called “Wear A Dress SF” that discusses whether or not it’ll be warm enough that day!) having a long sleeved option is an essential. I often pair mine with black opaque tights to keep extra warm. I love dresses that have a unique detail to them and knew that this Marni dress was perfect for the “Works of Art” trend with its embellished collar, not to mention the colorblock crepe fabric.

Rag & Bone Blazer, Zara Top, J Brand Jeans, Freda Salvador Booties, Proenza Schouler Bag, Ray Ban Sunglasses

I say it time and time again, one of my favorite things about San Francisco is that you can pretty much walk anywhere. After moving here, I quickly learned that having a crossbody bag was necessary when getting around. I need my hands and arms free when trekking up the hills, carrying bags of groceries home and taking the bus downtown- I also love the way they look! The details in both this Proenza Schouler bag and Rag & Bone blazer pull in the “Geometry Lessons” trend with their woven strips and graphic panelings.
