One of the days we were in St. Lucia we headed to the nearby town of Soufrière, which is the second largest city in St. Lucia (and the original capital when it was founded by the French, but is now Castries).  It was only a 15 minute drive from where we were staying and we set up a taxi to take us into town since we didn’t rent a car. That ended up being the best decision because we LOVED our driver! He was an older gentleman who went above and beyond telling us the history of St. Lucia, making little pit stops to show us different plants and fruits that you can use for different purposes and telling us stories about his childhood growing up there. When we got into town, he gave us a little tour and suggested we head to Petit Peak for lunch, which we ended up doing and had their delicious vegetarian roti wraps. Afterwards, we explored the town, stopping into the colorful shops, picking up fresh fruit smoothies and buying an abundant of handmade jewelry to take back home for friends and family from a sweet guy making them on the street (he also insisted of taking a picture with Thomas & it ended up being my favorite image from the day!) I would say that if you’re planning a trip to St. Lucia, it’s definitely worth a visit and make sure to stop by Petit Peak for lunch.

This look is very boho for me, but I love it! I usually wear this crochet kimono over bikinis at the beach, but I threw it on last minute before we headed out the door and I feel like it completes the look. I had to add a little feminine touch with my Isabel Marant ruffled shorts from last Spring and braided back my hair because I knew it was going to be a sweaty day (I later regretted not putting it all the way up).
