This past fashion week was the coldest I’ve ever experienced New York. And while I’m all for getting dressed up, I was more concerned about function over fashion. I can assure you that I did not have a peep of skin, aside from my face, showing. In fact, I actually wore a big down coat over this suede jacket and pretty much every outfit, but took it off briefly when we shot. Luckily my leather pants were stretchy enough to allow tights underneath, which I layered with thick socks. I don’t know how people do this on the regular, but I’m really impressed!

Thomas and I headed over to the West Village on this afternoon to finally check out byChloe, a vegan restaurant that everyone’s been raving about. Sadly we didn’t order much because we were already stuffed from brunch with Carly & Garrett at Sarabeth’s, but we did get the hot chocolate and some cookies, which were both amazing. The hot chocolate is a mix of dark chocolate, peanut butter (!!!) and almond milk. I seriously need to try and make this stuff at home because it was liquid heaven.

Right down the street from byChloe is the cutest line of pastel homes that my friend Amy told me about. A gem of a spot for shooting, especially the pink house! We had to hurry off to go backstage at Mara Hoffman with TRESemmé, which left us just enough time to snap some quick pics of my look that day- this suede Banana Republic trench paired with Helmut Lang leather pants and cashmere turtleneck (with a few more lighter layers under that).
