Last week I shared an updated tutorial post on how I curl my hair (probably the most requested beauty post) and today, I’m answering the second most requested beauty question “what makeup do you wear for everyday?”. In the past, I’ve posted the five items you’ll always find in my beauty bag, and you’ll notice that a lot of the makeup products from today’s post are the same. I’m pretty consistent with my tried and true favorites, which are mostly my base products, but I love switching up anything that adds color to my face. Keep reading to see what’s on current rotation in my beauty routine…

For years, I’ve used bareMinerals ‘Stroke of Light’ as my under eye concealer. And while I still carry it in my beauty bag, I’ve recently switch to their BareSkin Concealer. The difference between the two? Well, the ‘stroke of light’ is technically an eye brightener, but works really well as a concealer that’s not too heavy yet covers dark circles. This BareSkin one is just as light, but provides a little more coverage. I’ll switch between the two depending on how tired I look!

I think I’ve mentioned my love for bareMinerals Original Foundation in almost every beauty post I’ve done. I’ve worn it since high school and still do to this day. It’s just always worked for me. I wear the Original in “Medium Beige”. My trick for getting it to look dewy and not at all powdery (especially in broad daylight- nobody wants to look like they have makeup on), I apply a generous amount of moisturizer and immediately dust my foundation on right after. The minerals soak into the moisturizer making your skin look hydrated, fresh and flawless.

Something I normally never wear (unless I’m doing a cat eye) and used to always wear (until I realized I did it all wrong and looked too harsh) was eyeliner. BUT, I do think it has a time and a place, especially if I’m applying it correctly and in the right shade for me. I’ve realized that (again, as long as it’s not a cat eye), black is just a little too dramatic for me. Especially since I like to really do my lashes up with mascara. If I’m going out or just want something a little extra, I’ll smudge just a little bit of this Laura Mercier Caviar Eye Stick in “Amethyst”. I apply a small amount to my top lash line and the outer edge of my bottom lash line, then blend them both in with my fingers.

You’ll never not find me with this Bobbi Brown Mascara. I always have at least a couple tubes on me in case I run out.

This Marc Jacobs blush in “Night Fever & Hot Stuff” is a nice deeper rosy shade for winter. I’ll switch between my Shimmer Brick Set (seen above) or this blush for a bit of color added to my cheeks.

Lastly, a swipe of red lipstick pops up more frequently than not during this time of year. My current favorite shade being this very true Bobbi Brown “red” color, which is naturally named “Red”.
