Weekends like this past one are little reminders of why we moved to Charleston. Walking outside in the morning to birds chirping and a warm sunshine in the middle of January makes me so happy. We went and checked up on the house progress and it made me think back to this time last year when we would spend these same sunny mornings on our porch, being so grateful to have an outdoor space of our own for the first time. While we’re still a few months away, we’re enjoying our time downtown and finally getting to use our small courtyard again that’s been covered in sad looking plants (that will hopefully make it to spring!).

I’ve loved Rhode Resort dresses for years. In fast, the first dress I bought from the brand was this same maxi wrap dress in green (see here), along with this marigold yellow maxi dress. A few months ago I pre-ordered this pink dress on Moda Operandi and it finally arrived last week, just in time for our first warm weekend. The silk fabric flows so beautifully and feels amazing on. It’s the perfect dress to have for vacation, but since we live somewhere with vacation-like weather practically year round, it’s ideal for any day. The brand is also known for their Ella dress, which I also love and have in this print and in pink.

Since the weather’s nice, I brought back three of my favorite accessories from last year- Castaner espadrilles, Carolina Santo Domingo bag and Rebecca de Ravenel earrings. These wedges are my favorite shoe for spring and summer. You might remember seeing them on the blog quite a bit, like here, here, herehere, here, and here to list a few. I recently added two new colors- this green pair and this peach pair. Based on how much I wore them last year, I know they’ll get even more use this upcoming spring season (especially because they’ll pair so nicely with many of my Gal Meets Glam Collection dresses).
