When you ask anyone that’s been to Seville, Spain where you should go, they will almost all say Plaza de España and/or Real Alcazar, as both are main landmarks that attract most tourists. In yesterday’s post we woke up early to visit Real Alcazar at opening, and we did the same for Plaza de España. Located in Maria Luisa Park, this beautiful plaza is covered in yellow and blue ceramic details.  During the day it’s usually filled with people, but at sunrise you’ll have it all to yourself. The buildings really light up and glow with the morning golden sun.

There are tiled alcoves representing the different regions of Spain along one side of the plaza, along with a moat (that you can take a small row boat on) and four bridges bridges that are probably the most recognizable part of Plaza de España.

This was one of the few places that I actually remembered visiting from my trip to Spain many years ago and I was so happy to be back here with Thomas. We soaked in our quiet morning here until other tourists started to trickle in and the morning sun started to heat up, leading us back to our hotel and the pool that was calling our names.
