I think it’s safe to say that I have a basket bag addiction. It also started a few years ago with one tote…and then spiraled into a full-on obsession. I have far too many than I need, yet, I always find a reason for a new one. They’re quite possibly my favorite thing to wear everyday besides dresses, and more often than not, you’ll see me carrying one. Whether we’re traveling or I’m just running regular errands at home, I always find a big (or small) basket bag useful. I personally love the texture that it adds to any outfit- tee and jeans just look cuter with a little tote, and some of my favorite dresses feel more day appropriate when I wear them with any one of my baskets. I posted this image on my IG on Monday after going through my bags this past weekend, organizing them and then dispersing them around the house as decor (currently working on creating a basket bag wall in one of our guest rooms!). I got so many questions asking about where my favorite places to purchase them are and what brands I love, so I thought I would round it all up into one blog post for you! Keep reading below for all of my go-to sites, stores and brands…

Viviet Marigot– I recently discovered this beautiful brand that carries a variety of French home wares, along with a great selection of French market bags. They have the classic tote with top handles and a longer leather strap that is personally my favorite type to use daily, especially when traveling.

Pamela Munson– Last year I found this straw accessories brand on Instagram that I immediately fell in love with. I bought their Petite Isla Bahia Bag in pink (seen here) and have since added their pink rattan clutch (seen here) to my collection as well. They also recently became available on both Shopbop and Nordstrom!

Kayu– This was one of the first brands that I bought from when my basket bag obsession was starting to build and they have some of the most playful bags around (their watermelon and shell clutch are two favorites). I personally have their Coco bag and classic straw clutch, but I also love this wicker clutch and their St. Tropez tote.

Etsy– I love discovering small brands and companies on Etsy, especially for vintage home goods and bags. I can usually find a handful of them for really great prices, too, like this one for under $20 or this vintage wicker picnic basket, also only $20. Some more vintage finds I’ve been eyeing include this or this wicker picnic basket, this French basket or this adorable basket that needs a home stat! This Willow Souvenir shop has a drool-worthy selection along with this FrenchBaskets shop.

Terrain– For some more home-specific bags for decor, I love Terrain. I have a few around the house from them, like this leather basket and these seagrass ones. They, too, have a great selection of basket bags to use and carry like this raffia flower one or this basket version that I also have.

Sea&Grass– I have quite a few bags (including some of the below) from this California based brand. They work with local artisans in Thailand to make unique pieces to wear and bring into your home. My favorite is their small picnic tote, but I also love their simple beach tote as well.

Out of Hand– One of my favorite local shops in Mount Pleasant, where I’ve purchased many basket bags, big and small, for both my everyday use and for our house. This is where I bought those tiny little basket bags that I used as the gift bags for my sister’s bridal shower. They have a small variety online which you can check out here.

Personalized- I love getting my bags monogrammed and have a few brands that I look to: Poolside, who I have a few bags from and love, have the funniest sayings and quotes on their bags, which you can also customize (they also have more available on Moda Operandi). Mariella Vilar has the classic monogrammed basket bags that have become so popular for both travel and beach days- I have a few and love them! I also recently discovered Shop ByTafoufa that makes the cutest knit handled bags!

Traveling- I find quite a few of my bags while traveling, whether it’s in a local market or a small shop that has something unique I’ve never seen before. Thomas is always rolling his eyes at me and saying “seriously, the last thing you need is another basket bag”, but somehow I always convince him that I do ;)
