The next two months are going to be a battle of wanting to wear fall clothes, but it still very much being summer outside. The practical side of me just can’t bear being uncomfortably hot for no reason, so I’ll stick to wearing most of my summer clothes. Since I’m mostly in dresses, this is pretty easy for me! But I do have a couple of pieces in my closet that make dressing for those in between seasons much easier. You’ll see them all styled throughout summer in this post, but each of them can easily transition into fall when styled with heavier pieces and more layers. Keep reading to see what my three go-to items are…

Outfit Details:

Frame Denim Jacket (similar less expensive version here), White Tee, Nordstrom Pants, Golden Goose Sneakers, Similar Straw Tote

A denim jacket is a year round staple for me and this Frame one is available on Nordstrom here. I wore this look traveling to Italy and there have been many more times that I’ve traveled with my denim jacket as my extra layer. When we arrived to Tuscany, a rainstorm came in and brought the temperature down to the mid 60s, cooling off the typically hot summer afternoons. We were pleasantly surprised and kept our traveling layers on. These linen pants from Nordstrom are also my favorite. They have so much stretch to them, so they’re really comfortable to travel or lounge in.

Gal Meets Glam Collection Dress, Similar Espadrilles

A great classic dress can easily transition between seasons and the Addison dress from our June Collection is one of those for me. It’s a heavier cotton wrap dress that is such a timeless style and I find myself reaching for both the green and coral colors often. This cotton also has a bit of stretch to it, so combined with the wrap style, makes it really comfortable, easy to wear and flattering for so many different silhouettes. I’ll be styling mine with boots soon!

Outfit Details:

Frame Blazer (less expensive similar option here) & Shorts (similar here), Striped Tee (similar here and here), Dolce & Gabbana Scarf (similar here and here), Similar Sandals

While we were in Italy, I pulled out my striped tee a handful of times, but this comes as no surprise. It’s easily one of the mvps of my closet. It really doesn’t matter the time of year either, I almost always have one in my suitcase when I’m traveling. And if you haven’t felt one of Amour Vert’s tees, you must! They have some of the softest fabrics around.
