If you’ve been following along on my IG stories, you know that we are off shooting our September & October Collections, first starting in Hudson, NY then heading to Woodstock, VT and now we’re in Lenox, MA. The weather cooled down drastically from the beginning and we’ve been enjoying low 70s with crisp air in the mornings and evenings. Thomas and I took these photos really quick last night after a long day of shooting. We debated whether or not to head out to dinner, as we’ve been stopping by markets or delis to grab quick things to eat back in our room in the evenings so we can catch up on other work. We were both running on empty, super hungry and couldn’t decide, but last minute we changed, headed out and it gave us some new energy (plus, a full sit down meal was much needed!).
I still have soooo many photos to go through and share from our trip to Tuscany and the Amalfi Coast, and I’ve been trying to comb through them when I’m in transit (i.e. in the car or on a plane). But I thought, you know what, today I’ll do an old-school blog type post and just share a few quick snaps from what I wore the previous day. That’s how it all used to be done back when I first started over 7 years ago! Do you guys like these types of posts? Or do you prefer longer, more thought out and detailed travel stories? Or a combo of both? I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t hard to keep up the blog while also running Gal Meets Glam Collection. This is my baby, this is where it all began and without this community here, we never would have been able to build the dress line. I’m sort of rambling now…and this wasn’t initially going to be what my post was about, but these are real midnight thoughts you guys! (hi, night owl fam!)
Okay, back to the point of the post. I love this dress. What’s new? We didn’t shoot this one for our August editorials in Paris, but it’s definitely one not to be missed. The mini style is so flattering and the navy/brown combo is one that I’ll be repeating this season. I was going to wear it with my favorite brown loafers, but when I realized how cool it was outside, I slipped on my suede boots from last year instead. I found a similar pair here that has the same look and feel. I had a few people on our way to dinner compliment my dress and honestly, nothing, and I mean nothing, beats that feeling!
