We had the most beautiful weekend here in Charleston, weather wise, and it had us outside all day long until the sun went down. I love this time of year, when it’s warm with a slight breeze and the humidity and bugs haven’t taken over yet. We find ourselves using all of our outdoor space, front and screened in porches, going on more walks and bike rides and finding any chance to get downtown or to the beach for a stroll. With the arrival of our March dresses came an abundance of pieces that we created for this time of year! Comfortable cotton and relaxed bodies mixed into lots of daytime dresses and jumpsuits. We watched how our customers responded and reacted to what we created last year, and more than anything, we saw how drawn you guys were to daytime styles, that could easily be dressed up with a pair of espadrilles and some jewelry in the evening. I know those are the pieces I live in! Pieces exactly like our Rebecca chambray shirtdress.
After recovering mid last week from some sort of stomach flu/food poisoning, I’ve felt like my energy level has sky rocketed. This is definitely the best I’ve felt since pre-pregnancy and I’m taking full advantage of feeling great. Thomas and I have been trying to get way ahead of our schedule this year with our team since we know that August will be here in the blink of an eye, so getting on top of all things baby, home and work has been at the top of my mind. We have so much going on this spring and summer season, but I want to make sure we’re taking time to just soak in some of these slower moments, too. I am so grateful for our relaxing weekends at home, watching Thomas in the garden and me nesting all around the house. I know things will get much crazier once the baby is here, so I want to be able to savor these times as the two of us.
