While we were staying in the village of Deià in Mallorca, we visited the nearby beach, Cala Deià, which was only a quick five minute drive from our hotel. We’d had this spot bookmarked ever since deciding we were going to visit this area of Mallorca back at the beginning of the year. We let ourselves relax at the hotel for the first few days in Deià, and then on an extra warm and sunny day, we headed down to the beach. Instead of sand, there are beautiful big rocks that trail into the crystal clear water, so the key is to find one big enough you can lay out on. Other sunbathers decided to climb up into the rocks and lay out high above the water, but being extra cautious, we stuck with the main beach area. Thomas is always the brave one to jump right in, while I’m a bit more “I”ll dip my toes in and see.” BabyB and I were happily content sitting in the sunshine watching.
This was my first time wearing a bikini while pregnant and this smocked blue and white Tory Burch one was perfect. The extra stretch makes it so comfortable to adjust with you throughout the day, which I’ve learned is very important with any item of clothing during my third trimester. I wore this blue and white shirtdress that I bought in Positano last summer as a coverup over it and kept it open since the buttons were a little too tight when I closed it all the way up. I’ve started doing this with anything that buttons all the way down, especially any old favorite dresses, as they end up making the perfect beach coverups. I also love this similar one I found on Nordstrom, along with this one and this one.
While I was excited to show off my bump (now a little over 30 weeks along!) in this bikini, I easily could have added all of Tory Burch’s spring swimsuits and cover-ups to my packing list. The collection is full of blue and white pieces that would have looked right at home in Mallorca, as well as on any beautiful beach. A few of my favorites include this safari print one-piece, this matching cover-up, this embroidered linen and cotton dress, this crisp tunic, this striped maxi cover-up, and this Greek key-detailed cover-up.
After some time at the beach, we made our way over to Ca’s Patró March, our lunch spot that’s perched in the cliffside overlooking Cala Deià. With a menu full of fresh seafood and a view you can’t beat, it’s the perfect spot to settle down after time at the beach. Make sure to make a reservation in advance (we asked our hotel to do so for us) and ask for a table with a view! This ended up being one of our favorite meals of the trip. After lunch we packed up and decided to head back to the hotel to relax a bit in the afternoon sun. The beach had filled up while we were eating at lunch and a comfy daybed sounded pretty ideal.
The three things I pretty much had with me every single day were my straw hat, straw bag and straw sandals. They’re my go-to summer accessories and seamlessly pair with everything in my warm weather wardrobe. Nordstrom has a handful of similar styles, like this wide brim hat, these raffia sandals and this straw tote, along with many more natural fiber summer accessories available over here. You’ll be using these all season long!
