Striped Dress, Fruit Earrings (similar here)

One activity that ends up on my seasonal bucket list year after year is berry picking. There’s nothing better than spending time outside, seeing exactly where and how my favorite fruits are grown, and picking baskets upon baskets to bring home and enjoy. It’s one of the many activities I can hardly wait to share with our little lady next year…I admit, I already have her first strawberry picking outfit planned! Over the last few years, we’ve found a few local farms that we always enjoy venturing to on spring and summer Saturday mornings, or supporting at the farmer’s market if we can’t make it out to pick our own. So far, Thomas hasn’t ventured into growing fruit in our yard, but I’m sure it’s only a matter of time!

Green Swimsuit, Orange Pareo

I’ve always delighted in fruit prints on clothes and accessories since they seem to capture that same cheerful, fun, sunny feeling that heading to a U-Pick farm always brings me. From citrus to strawberries and peaches to pineapples, these motifs make an irresistibly sweet statement on any item. On clothing, I especially love when fruit prints have a vintage botanical feel, like this strawberry wrap dress. A clean, crisp backdrop helps create this effect, though the statement-making stripes on this skirt are an exception to that rule. These pieces feel elegant and classic, even though the print is on the playful side.

Orange Dress, Strawberry Earrings

I have a few citrus-print dresses that I love (see them on the blog here and here), and recently picked up a few new fruit-inspired pieces for this summer. From the pomegranate-print swimsuit I wore in Spain to the most beautiful strawberry statement earrings that I recently paired with our Gal Meets Glam Collection Angela dress (seen here), I could have easily collected fruit-inspired pieces for every category in my wardrobe. It wasn’t easy to narrow down my best picks (pun intended), but you’ll find a few of my very favorites below.

Fruit-Print Espadrille Wedges

Seeing that my favorite espadrille wedges now come in a lemon and a strawberry print partially inspired this post. Either pair would add such a perfect pop of color to any outfit, so I haven’t been able to choose a favorite!

Mercedes Salazar Earrings

I’m a long-time fan of Mercedes Salazar’s beautiful earrings, and recently picked up this strawberry pair. Along with being one of the most whimsical pairs of earrings in my collection, the raffia makes them quite lightweight. I love the cherry and pineapple styles too!

Pomegranate-Print Swimsuit

I brought this one-piece to Spain and felt so summer-ready in it. The green and ivory palette toned down the boldness of the print, so it’s a more subtle way to incorporate fruit motifs into your summer wardrobe.
