We’re nearing the end of July now, which means we’re less than three weeks away from meeting our baby girl! The time up until this point has felt like it’s flown by, and now, it feels as if it’s moving in slow motion. I’ve been keeping myself busy with work and getting ready for baby, but I’ve never felt more anxious for an upcoming date–the most special one of our life. Thomas and I will be celebrating our seven-year anniversary this weekend, too, which makes this time all the more memorable! Our schedule has been much calmer this month and back on a regular routine, which has really allowed us to feel more settled before the baby comes. I feel extra grateful for our air conditioned home and office, flat shoes, and lightweight summer dresses at this moment. I love getting up early, getting dressed, going on our morning coffee walks and then to the office, and fitting in a workout here and there, along with date nights with friends. I’m a busybody and keeping moving during this time has helped me stay sane!
We designed the pattern for our new Isadora wrap dress blending two of my favorite colors together, a dusty mauve and summer blue. To pull out the cooler hues, we added a blue piping around the seams of the dress to add some contrast and pop against the pink and floral. I love the versatility of wrap dresses–both from a style and comfort perspective. When designing this collection for July, we wanted these pieces to be ones to wear now, in the height of summer, but also transition well into early fall and beyond. I sized up for a little extra room so I could wear it this far into my pregnancy, and I know it will be perfect to wear out and about during the postpartum phase as well.
