This time of year, I’m especially drawn to putting together outfits inspired by texture and neutral tones. I combined a few of my favorite items for this look, which I recently wore around Charleston for a day of meetings (plus some quality time with Clementine in between!). Even a color palette as understated as black and brown instantly felt glamorous, thanks to the faux fur trim of my coat, the buttery leather of my pants, and the crocodile-inspired detail on my shoes.

Cashmere sweaters play a starring role in my wardrobe as soon as the temperatures drop year after year, so I’m always looking for new styles. This Nili Lotan sweater has a relaxed, classic fit that makes it a perfect choice to wear with just about anything. Leather pants in a neutral shade add a refined, polished look. I have a Helmut Lang pair that I’ve loved for years, but this season, I picked up a cropped straight-leg style for a bit of a different feel. This and this pair are great similar options at a lower price point, perfect for if you’re trying out the trend…though don’t be surprised if they become new staples in your closet.

The Anita coat from our Gal Meets Glam Collection is one of my favorite styles to wear from day to night, since the collarless neckline and the faux fur trim create such a sleek, sophisticated look. Whether dressing up or down, it adds the perfect finishing touch to keep warm me warm this holiday season.
