Connecting with readers has always been one of my favorite parts of my job. It should come as no surprise, then, that one of my favorite things about running Gal Meets Glam Collection is the opportunity to connect with even more women all over the world! I love getting a peek into the lives of the women who wear our pieces, especially when I learn about what they do, what they’re passionate about, and what inspires them. I first came across our November Gal on the Go, Nicola Bathie, years ago through her interior design work, but her bold and feminine earring designs are what ultimately connected us. Since the launch of Gal Meets Glam Collection, Nicola and I have both been pairing GMG Collection dresses with her earrings, and I’ve been so grateful for her support. When I decided to pursue an earring collaboration for this holiday season, she was the very first person who came to my mind, and I’m so delighted by the three designs we came up with! Tell us a little about yourself!

My husband and I live in San Antonio, Texas with our two daughters, Sophia and Emilia, and our golden doodle, Milo. I graduated with a degree in interior design from TCU. My interest in jewelry design began as a hobby—it was always something I enjoyed doing.

When did you first begin designing jewelry and how did it turn into a full-time career?

Designing jewelry has always been something I have loved doing. As soon as I started selling my designs, I was blown away by the enthusiasm and support of our customers.

What typically inspires your collections?

I’m the most inspired by florals and the seasons, especially the natural colors those seasons hold.

How did you and Julia make the Nicola Bathie for Gal Meets Glam Earring Collection unique to Gal Meets Glam?

We wanted the earrings to be the perfect holiday accessory and a gift that can be worn throughout the year. We purposefully created three different styles, lengths, and colors, so there is something for everyone! We hope women of all ages will love dressing these earrings up and down.

How would you mix and match these exclusive earrings with Gal Meets Glam Collection dress and coat styles for the holidays?

The earrings are all so versatile, they pair perfectly with the entire Collection! Even if you’re not wearing a red or green dress, our Emerald Floral + Gold Vine earrings add a festive touch to any look. The Bloom Studs are a neutral piece that can be worn year-round, but I especially love it paired with something sparkly (like the Diana dress) for the holidays. Julia and I share a year-round affinity for all things pink, so I’ll be wearing our Bow + Pearl Drop earrings often, both in all-pink looks and to add a pop of pink to any outfit.

What are some holiday traditions you always look forward to the most?

I love feeling the nostalgic sense of Christmas magic. My favorite holiday traditions are going to our Christmas Eve church service and decorating the tree with my husband. Now, with our two girls, I am looking forward to the holidays more than ever and can’t wait to share every moment with them.
