Most of the time, I keep my makeup routine natural, understated, and classic. Along with simplifying my everyday mornings, this also makes going all-out with a bolder, holiday-ready look more fun! I love creating an event out of getting ready for a party, pouring a glass of champagne and turning on my favorite jazz playlists while I do my hair and makeup. With so many new product launches and holiday sets available this time of year, it’s the perfect opportunity to experiment with different looks.

Thank you to Nordstrom and ShopStyle for sponsoring this post.

I buy the majority of my beauty products from Nordstrom year-round, since they carry all my favorite brands and I appreciate their free shipping and returns. Conveniently, that’s also where I do lots of shopping this time of year—it’s all too easy to add an extra lipstick or eyeshadow palette to my cart when I’m picking up holiday gifts from their beauty department. This season, I restocked two of my favorite products from the Bobbi Brown x Ulla Johnson collaboration: this coral lipstick and this cheek palette that includes everything you need for a fresh, rosy look. I’ve been wearing the combination for a few months, and it created the ideal, dewy base for my holiday makeup. Tip: both products were created in universally flattering hues, so they’d make great stocking stuffer gifts for any woman on your list.

I couldn’t wait to experiment with this limited-edition Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow palette. The colors complement so many pieces in my holiday wardrobe and add just the right touch of sparkle to a classic beauty look. Here, I used the happy glow colors from it. For a subtler effect, I love Laura Mercier’s Caviar Sticks. The creamy formula makes it easy to apply the perfect amount of product and blend an effortless-looking smokey eye, even if you only have a few minutes to get ready. They’re also easy to throw in your clutch along with your lipstick for quick touch-ups. For a finishing touch of holiday sparkle, I like to add highlighter like this one from RMS to my cheekbones and this one from Chantacaille to my brow bone. See below for more of my favorite products to add to your makeup routine this holiday season.
