Some of the Gal Meets Glam Collection pieces that I have treasured most over the past two years have been our tweed styles. Season after season, I’ve loved the challenge of combining unique color palettes and memorable silhouettes, while also maintaining the timeless feel that tweed inherently calls for. Last week, we launched the Stacey dress, the latest tweed to join the Collection.

Stacey’s blush-hued tweed and square neckline achieve a polished, office-ready look, but we also added a hint of playfulness through fringed edges and a shorter hemline. Much like many of the dresses throughout our spring Collections, we embraced a more relaxed body for this style that’s both comfortable and a touch more casual than a true fit-and-flare. The results are a true work-to-weekend style—just trade your workday loafers or pumps for white tennis sneakers. I’ve been reaching for my white Veja sneakers at least weekly, since they add a laid-back, classic feel to any outfit.

In another example of a piece that combines both elegant and casual elements seamlessly, this Pamela Munson bag is one of my current favorites. I can never resist a basket bag, but especially love the additional femininity that this one’s leather flap top, ring handle, and pearl clasp add. It’s the perfect bag to style from day to night this spring.
