Gal Meets Glam, Inc. is seeking a talented Creative Associate to join our team. Gal Meets Glam, Inc. (GMG) is a fashion, beauty and travel lifestyle brand that was started as a blog in 2011. With a monthly readership of over 250,000 women and social following in the millions, women all over the world come to GMG for inspiration. We pride ourselves on continually exceeding follower expectations, which has been a key driver in the growth of both our business and readership. To continue this momentum, we are looking to add a team member with a passion for all things creative to provide fresh content and ideas as our company grows and we expand into new services and product lines.

Gal Meets Glam Collection is a modern feminine dress line with monthly deliveries. With the launch of this business this past year, our creative needs have significantly increased.

The Creative Associate will assist with the creative needs of Gal Meets Glam, Inc. and Gal Meets Glam Collection, LLC to include photography, photo editing, videography, graphic design, copywriting, content and idea development and more.

Responsibilities and Duties

Core Responsibilities:

Assist with the production of media assets including images, editing, design, video, and video editing.
Assist with photo shoot set-up details
Work with content team to develop and execute ideas for new content.

Day to Day Tasks

Photo editing – Edit majority of photos for blog posts and social channels including, Instagram.
Assistant Photographer – Create imagery to be used in articles, social channels and graphics. Example shots may include: Flatlays, landscapes, city shots.
Assist with developing concepts and storylines for photo shoots, including those for sponsored posts.
Design work – Create fun graphics for usage on social and website. Layout blog posts. Assist with developing asset marketing and Gal Meets Glam Collection materials.
Creative planning- Come up with new ideas that expand on what we are currently doing.
Other duties as assigned.

This position is critical to the long term success of Gal Meets Glam. Content creation is at the heart of what Gal Meets Glam does. The Creative Associate makes the process easier for the rest of the team by taking on lots of the tasks that slows down the publishing of new content.

Qualifications and Skills

Qualifications

Advanced experience in photography and image editing (experience must be within the last year); expertise in Videography (experience must be within the last year); experience in design and graphics.
Advance experience developing highly creative concepts and ideas with the ability to share in detail.
Experience running a public portfolio, including a website and social media account.
Proactive problem solver, able to work independently, recognize potential needs, and act on them before they arise.
Strong time management skills.
We are a small team that constantly needs to be moving forward. The ideal candidate will be able to take on projects and responsibilities in a very fast paced, often high stress environment with little to no direction.

Preferred Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher

Additional Requirements & Details

Final candidate must be available to move to Charleston, SC upon hire. May reimburse relocation costs, to be determined at time of offer.
Position may require ability and availability to travel with team on occasion, including possession of or ability to obtain valid U.S. passport upon hire at the employee’s expense.
