When you walk around Boone Hall Plantation, you feel as though you are taking a step back into history. Boone Hall is one of the oldest working plantations, still growing and selling strawberries, tomatoes, and a few other crops to this day. The plantation is open to the public year round for tours. Tour the massive property and learn about the Gullah culture and working plantations. There is also a butterfly museum you can enjoy. There are two fun cultural facts about Boone Hall plantation: It was used for scenes of the Hamilton’s summer house in the classic romantic movie, The Notebook, and Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were married here.
