Though I don’t always wear lipstick, I do love adding a hint of lip color, no matter what other makeup I may or may not be wearing. It could be bold, it could be bright, it could be sheer, or it could be light. I’m simplifying my usual routine by skipping the lip liner, to make it even easier to get the softer, subtle, romantic pout.

Step 1. Condition lips with a lip sheen like Lanolips Banana Balm Lip Sheen – a creamy, banana-scented colorless lip conditioner that seriously helps relieve dry, chapped lips.

Step 2. Apply your favorite berry lip color. I love the sheerness, added conditioning and SPF that Sugar Lip Treatment offers, but also the coverage of a full-bodied lipstick like Laura Mercier Velour Lovers Lip Color.

Step 3. Lightly run a Q-Tip over the outline of your lips, slightly softening the colored edges.

Step 4. Re-apply a thin amount of the same lip sheen used in step 1 for added shine.

That’s it! Kissable, beautiful, no-fuss lips ready for a romantic Valentine’s Day rendezvous!
