After the most wonderful wedding weekend in Italy, we had to jet off to Paris for work. We were sad to leave our friends and the villa behind, but we had a suitcase of our August samples to shoot and a campaign with Veuve Clicquot to attend. Luckily the trip wasn’t far, but of course, true to Thomas’s traveling style, we had to take the first flight out that morning, which meant leaving at 3am. With sleepy eyes and way too much luggage, we rolled into Hôtel National des Arts et Métiers, our stay for our first few days in the city. Perfectly situated near the Marais, we were able to walk to some of our favorite spots and try out a few new restaurants nearby that had been on our list.
The Gemma dress from the June Collection might be my favorite…! And I hate to pick favorites, because they’re all my babies, but I’ve been so excited to wear this one ever since I saw the first sample of it many many months ago. We are running low on sizes on our site, but Nordstrom has more over here for those of you who might be looking. I wore mine with a braided belt (in the ivory color) and my favorite espadrilles for our first day out in Paris.
The night of our June Collection launch, Thomas and I went out to dinner at Le Temps de Cerises in the Marais. We’ve had this spot saved on our google maps for a while now and finally had the chance to go. Each month we love having a little celebration of a new collection launch, as each one is such a huge milestone for us. After years and years of dreaming of getting here, it still feels so surreal that we’re living it! We’ve officially shot five GMG Collections and are currently preparing for our sixth one next month. The work never stops, but we feel so lucky to be able to work our dream jobs and pursue our passions. And I wore the Marion dress, also from the June Collection, out that night.
