Here’s What I’m Packing For London
Outfit Details:
Rachel Antonoff Blazer, Theory Tee, AG Skirt, Soludos Loafers, Vintage Ferragamo Bag
We’re heading to London today and I was frantically packing last night, last minute as always. I find I work better under pressure, but really I just end up overpacking so I don’t regret anything. I’ve had a few people share that it already feels like autumn over there, so I pulled out my boots and coats and grabbed a few new fall pieces as well. It’s still pretty warm here in Charleston, the summer lingers until early October, sometimes later, and while I love it (I know we’ll miss these warm nights in a few months), I can’t wait for crisp mornings. I love the changing of the seasons, all of them.
Tucked away in my suitcase is this mixed look of fall textures- a corduroy mini in burgundy, a tweed blazer and camel loafers. I have so much vintage inspiration I look back on when designing dresses and these fabrics were a reoccurring love I kept going back to when creating for fall. Our August Collection has a small dose of them in the Rita and Beatrice dress, but I’m so excited to share our September dresses next week, as they’re everything I’ve always wanted in fall dresses. I’ve found a few other pieces this season that bring these textures into my wardrobe in a really easy and seamless way- this coat I can’t wait to wear all season long and I can already tell that these booties are going to be my most worn. This pink corduroy skirt reminds me of this one I got a few years ago, and I found this one and this one as well that are both under $70. And if you’re looking for more tweed or houndstooth blazers, Mango has a few similar options here and here, as well as some great coats in the same fabrics like this one and this one.
Your look definitely is wonderful British!

Enjoy your time in London! Be safe in Charleston. I hope all will be well there.
This post makes me so excited for Fall. It is my favorite season, and I can’t wait to break out my Fall sweaters and boots.
I love your clothes but what would be extra special is if you made them in USA to support American garment industry. Companies such as Milly, Shosanna, New Balance, Paige, Reformation and many more support American workers. China is not a free country. I know you have a certain price point but maybe in the future a slightly higher price point made here would be great x
I loooove this outfit! In the autum and winther i often go to the colour black but you open my eyes to a new colours for this autum. Time to do some shopping 😉
Wow! I love that blazer! So perfect for Fall!!

Wow! You are fantastic with that haircut! I love the look and the lipstick. Good trip!
Please do consider what Debrs said. Many people might be willing to pay a bit more if they knew even a few dresses were made in America or another free country.
I love the outfit Julia, especially the shoes. They do not only look very stylish, but also extremely comfortable and that is what we teachers want above all. Enjoy your stay in the UK. Love, Lieske from www. petiteteacher.com

I adore this look on you – so effortless but well styled. Looking forward to the new September dresses! I was bummed that the few I ordered in August weren’t right for me, but hopefully, there’ll be one or two I’ll snag next week.

I’m loving this fall outfit inspo! Even though it’s still summer in Spain, it’s time to start thinking about fall looks.
I love how your lipstick matches the elbow pads. Can you tell me what brand/shade it is from? Thanks!
What lipstick is this? Obsessed!
Your looking good, love the jacket!
I love this outfit so much I am buying it! Where did you get your tee shirt? Also your hair looks lovely! Did you get a cut recently?
Have fun in London! <3 :) I love how you're incorporating all of these fall colors and patterns into your outfit and in the things you pack! Autumn sounds like it'll be extra lovely in London!

You always look so classy and like you belong in an old Hollywood movie! Your skin always looks so perfect too. Do you use a self tanner?
This is just what I love about your outfits! Because my style is similar to yours, I’m often able to replicate the looks you where. Here in the Netherlands, the weather is pretty autumny as well so I’m sure you’ll enjoy your crispy mornings in London too. Covent Garden is my favourite place on the planet so I’m sure your stay in London will be great.
Love the look, where is the tee from? I didn’t see a link.
I’M A LITTLE BUMMED TO NOT SEE ANY ANSWERS TO THE COMMENTS HERE, BUT I’M HOPING SOMEONE IS STILL MAINTAINING THIS COMMENTS SECTION – ARE YOU WEARING A SIZE 2 OR 4 IN THE RACHEL ANTANOFF BLAZER? I USED TO LOVE HOW YOU’D INDICATE SIZING SO THAT WE COULD HAVE HELP IN ORDERING ITEMS FROM YOUR REFERRAL LINKS!
Hi Lauren!
Ah- I am sorry! I try my best but it’s especially hard when traveling. I am wearing a size 2. x Julia
Hi Rebecca,
It’s Theory and is linked at the beginning of the post. x Julia
I am in love with this entire look!!! The skirt and t-shirt are so simple, yet classic, and the adding the jacket just makes the look!! So cute!!

Hi Julia,
I ordered and just received the Theory Tiny Tee you were wearing in your photos for what to pack for London. You wear it with a burgundy corduroy mini skirt. In the photos and online it looks like a light mauve, but in person it’s much darker. I ordered Mauve Mist. I just wondered if that is the color you are wearing. You can see the contract in your photos – the light color shirt and the dark skirt, but Mauve Mist is pretty dark and doesn’t make that same contrast with the burgundy skirt. I love the tee and the way you style it, but mine won’t look that way with this color.
Thanks so much!
Mara
