Now that we spend half our time in New York City, I’m mentally preparing for our first real Northeastern winter. Thankfully, I’ve spent enough time in New York during winter over the years, as well as traveled to enough snowy destinations, to have developed a good system for staying warm without sacrificing style. It all comes down to two things: plenty of layers and great quality winter gear. Whether we’re at home or abroad, I enjoy being able to walk from place to place, so I never want being improperly dressed to get in the way of that. On milder days, I’ll simply throw a warm coat on over whatever I’m wearing to the office, but the lower the temperature, the more items I strategically add to my outfit. On the coldest days, you’ll find me in one of each of the trusty winter layers and accessories listed below. I love that these pieces I found combine function and warmth with feminine details, like bows, a hint of sparkle, and the perfect shade of pink. With a winter wardrobe like this, I’ll be much more inclined to savor the season, rather than spend it counting down the days till spring!
