Over the last year, our Charleston team has nearly doubled in size. We have definitely come a long way since the days of just Thomas and me on our laptops in our apartment! One of my favorite aspects of growing our team has been learning what inspires them. I always look forward to seeing which Gal Meets Glam Collection piece they are wearing and loving, and which pieces show up most often in the office. It’s especially fun seeing the ways different women on our team style them—it sometimes feels like the #gmgonme hashtag brought to life! Here are a few of the pieces from the August Collection that our team members are loving!
Margaret: “I always love a black and navy dress, since the accessory options are endless. I styled Maisie with navy statement earrings and brown textured loafers (similar here) for a classic work look, but I can seamlessly transition this dress into the weekend by swapping out my shoes for a wedge or a heel.”
Caroline: “I chose the Tegan dress because I loved her fun tiered skirt and puffed sleeves. These feminine details mean I can rock this style in the office, but it’s also special enough to wear for some events on my calendar this month. I can’t wait to dress it up for my cousin’s rehearsal dinner and a wine tasting for a friend’s birthday!”
Judie: “I decided to venture out of my comfort zone of jumpsuits, slacks, and midis to try this off-white Cecilia dress and I’m happy I did. The soft structure is very flattering, with a unique hemline hitting right at the knee. I paired it with neutral suede heels and pearl stud earrings for a simple, classic style, but I can see myself wearing it with leather loafers to transition seamlessly into fall.”
Annika: “The plaid print of the Emerson dress makes it the perfect piece for transitioning to fall. The material is light enough for our warm August days in Charleston, especially paired with espadrilles or loafers, like the Mansur Gavriel loafers I wore to the office. As it gets colder, I’m so excited to pair this style with tall boots and a light jacket.”
Colleen: “I’m a big fan of the Adelaide’s easy silhouette and the flowy and smooth fabric. For a busy workday, I kept all eyes on the dress’ floral print by sticking to simple accessories. I wore my go-to raffia hoop earrings and neutral Castañer espadrilles, which are some of the comfiest shoes I’ve ever worn. As the evenings get cooler this fall, this dress will be my go-to anytime I’ll be heading straight from the office to a dinner date!”
Paige: “While shooting our August Collection, I fell in love with the Kierra jumpsuit. Having lived in NYC and Seattle, I’m still a huge fan of black. The covered buttons and the ruffle at the shoulder add a nice feminine touch. I paired it with Paul Green flats (similar here), Beckett glasses from Warby Parker (similar here), and a resin bracelet purchased a while ago in NYC. Oh, and a red lip, of course!”
