We always love seeing where your Gal Meets Glam Collection pieces take you! With the launch of our shoe collaboration with Margaux, it’s now easier than ever to add a Gal Meets Glam touch to any outfit. Our team set out to prove just that over the weekend, styling each of our four shoe styles throughout the day. The resounding feedback? These shoes are as comfortable as they are stylish, as well as versatile enough to wear for a wide variety of activities and events. From engagement celebrations to Saturday morning soccer practice, our team snapped photos all weekend long to share exactly how they wore Gal Meets Glam Collection x Margaux. I spent Saturday morning wandering around downtown Charleston in my new Margaux x Gal Meets Glam Collection velvet loafers with my labradoodle pup, Bogey. I love a good pop of color, so when I saw these sweet pink shoes, I knew I had to have them! I was so impressed by how comfortable these loafers were and am looking forward to many more downtown walks in them. I had some friends in town for a wedding, so we met up for the most delicious brunch at 82 Queen. If you are looking for some true Southern bites in Charleston, 82 Queen is your place! After brunch, my boyfriend and I hit the road to Columbia, South Carolina for an engagement party. On Sunday, I opted for a casual look for lunch at Tazza Kitchen in Forest Acres and an afternoon spent at home, watching football with the family dog, Eloise. I loved how I could pair these shoes with everything from a dress to jeans all throughout the weekend. They’re my new favorites!
I finally had a weekend with zero plans and it was so nice to relax and explore the city. The weather was a bit cooler than usual, so I spent every second I could outside! I picked up groceries at the farmer’s market, went on bike rides (the best way to explore Charleston!), took lots of walks, and tried a new neighborhood coffee shop. My tweed Pointe flats not only added a fun twist to two of my staple outfits, but they were also the most comfortable shoe to adventure in!

This was our first weekend of fall temperatures in Charleston. To enjoy the beautiful weather to the fullest, we decided to take a sunset walk on the pier before heading out to dinner as a family. I wore The Demi and could have spent hours walking in them. On Saturday morning, we always make pancakes for breakfast and then pack up our camp chairs for Beckett’s soccer practice. For the sweetest finale to our weekend, we headed to Beardcat’s, which is a pretty regular stop for our family. We love popping in for dessert after lunch at The Obstinate Daughter right upstairs, or we’ll order a yummy treat to-go and enjoy it while Beckett plays at the park across the street.
This weekend, I traveled to Mexico City, Mexico! One of my best friends, who lives there, got engaged to her amazing fiancé, who invited me down to surprise her and celebrate. I spent Friday morning walking around the Santa Fe neighborhood in my new Margaux x Gal Meets Glam flats, popping into sweet little boutiques and an adorable coffee shop before meeting my friend and her fiancé for lunch. She was so surprised, and naturally, we all cried.
I was instantly drawn to The Pointe as they’re made from the same fabric as my namesake Annika dress and jacket. The pink and blue tweed with navy trim is so timeless. They were the perfect pair of chic and comfortable shoes for a weekend spent exploring a new city!
I visited Athens, GA this past weekend for a wedding that my boyfriend, Matthew, was a groomsman in. While they were getting ready on Saturday, I slipped into The Boot and took advantage of the chance to explore the town. I stopped for breakfast at Big City Bread Cafe (SO good!), grabbed an iced coffee at Hendershots, and dove into Sally Mann’s memoir, Hold Still, at Avid bookshop. Afterwards, I did some shopping at Heery’s, Agora Vintage, and Starlite Showroom (for some midcentury modern wares). On Sunday, Matthew showed me around his alma mater. After popping into Archer Paper Goods, we walked down to Founder’s Garden, a little oasis on campus.
I spent all weekend running around to various events in Charleston and wore The Loafer to each and every one! I quickly found that the best thing about this style is its versatility. I went from wearing them in the office all day Friday, straight to a fun dinner at The Ordinary with friends. From simple jeans + a top to my current favorite Gal Meets Glam Collection dresses, these loafers, which are the perfect dusty shade of pink, added a fun pop of color. Best of all, they kept me comfortable throughout the entire weekend.
On Saturday, we got up bright and early to indulge in one of our favorite weekend traditions: coffee and bagels. I live in Raleigh, North Carolina, where the food scene has truly exploded over the last few years–it’s an incredibly exciting, and delicious, place to live! Raleighites were thrilled when two of our local favorites were nominated for Bon Appetit’s list of best new restaurants in 2019. In celebration, my little family (husband Dave, our three-year-old son Charlie, and baby girl due in February!) stopped by both: the gorgeous Heirloom Brewshop for coffee and then Benchwarmers Bagels for za’atar bagels with pimento cream cheese. It was the first day that felt like fall after a hot, humid week, so I jumped at the chance to take my new Margaux x Gal Meets Glam Collection boots out for a spin. Comfort is key when you’re 20 weeks pregnant and chasing a toddler. These boots provided plenty, while also putting a more sophisticated spin on my casual sweater and jeans outfit!
